Today I was hoping against hope to bring Riley home, but he isn't here. At this point we are shooting for Wednesday. I am hopeful for Wednesday. It is a good lesson in trusting the Lord and waiting on his timing.
Riley's blood sugar was the highest it has been since being off the IV tonight, 67. This is a step in the right direction and we are praying it will stay this high from here on out. Our new goal is that he would be released Wednesday evening.
I'll keep you all updated. Thanks for your prayers.

Praying for you guys Sharon, the waiting game is tough stuff. We walked through waiting to bring my nephew home with my sister-in-law and her husband. God's timing is a mystery, but you learn so much through it.
Hang in there! Praying for Wednesday to be the day, Lord willing.
Know that though we are far away, we are waiting with you and that our hearts ache with yours. We are praying for Riley, for the doctors, for you both, and for God's will. We love you all. Sarah (speaking for all of us.)
