Changing Every Day

Riley is just over 2 1/2 months and I feel like he is chaning every day. He looks so different now than he did when he was first born and though I haven't weighed him I am sure he is over 10 pounds. He is talking like crazy now and has discovered his tongue and loves to stick it out and laugh. And speaking of laughing he loves to laugh, which in turn makes me laugh and then he laughes and smiles even more. He is such a joy! He went to his friend Levi's first birthday party and though he is yawning in the picture I know he had a great time. He loves his bumble seat too. He can sit up and see everything that is going on, which he loves. And sometimes he enjoys tummy time. Oh, and one last exciting thing...Riley is sleeping through the night!!! Sunday morning Griff and I woke up about 7am and I realized I hadn't heard anything from him yet...oh no....oh yes! Our little guy goes down around 10:30pm and now doesn't wake up until around 7. Yes, a full nights sleep!

2 Months Old

Riley is two months old and growing like crazy. At his two month check-up he weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces! He also got diagnosed with acid reflux. This has actually been good news to us...to know something is actually wrong with him and can be treated with medicine. He is starting to sleep better now which is a huge praise!

Our little man is also becoming a huge Penn State fan. I took this picture this morning around 9am, his happy hour. If you look close at this picture you can see him holding up his finger pointing out that Penn State is number 1.

My mom was out last week and took some pictures of the three of us. We enjoyed having Grandma Henry here...Riley especially.

Enjoying Visitors and Fun Times

A couple weeks ago some friends from State College came to visit. Jason, Amy, Nate and Maryn all got to see our then 7 pound wonder. Amy is having a little girl in April so we are excited for Riley to meet his future wife. :-)
This weekend my brother Shannon and sister-in-law Nicole got to come out and meet Riley. Uncle Shan and Aunt Nicole are spoiling him rotten. Griff and I are also enjoying the company.

Auntie Nicole got to spoil Riley rotten. She helped so much this weekend!
Hiliary also came down from Penn State and got to see our little guy. It is so fun to introduce him to all the new friends and family.

A Steelers Fan is born!

Enjoying the game with Daddy. :-)

The Many Faces of Riley

I took these photos this morning of Riley with his Hawkeye bib on to show Grandpa Henry he will indeed be a hawkeye fan and he started making so many faces...I don't know if he will really be a hawkeye fan...we will see.

1 Month and Growing!

Riley at one month old. He was asleep in his pack and play so we figured this was the best time to get a shot. I took him to the doctor Tuesday (he has a pretty bad cold) and he weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces (this was my actualy birth weight). He is getting big and stays awake more during the day which is fun. And last night he actually slept for 5 hours!

There is a little boy in there... I promise.

There he is!

This one has got to be my favorite as of lately. :-)

Our First Christmas!

2008 was the first Christmas Griff and I got to spend together as husband and wife and also the first Christmas we have got to celebrate it with our son. What a year!

Riley is one month old today...it is hard to believe. This last month has been a full one, but so rewarding. We enjoyed a visit from my parents, in which Riley got spoiled real well by Grandma and Grandpa Henry (as pictured below).

The three of us spent Christmas together in Lancaster. We went to church (Riley's first time) for the Christmas Eve service and afterwards were really blessed to spend time at the pastors house with new friends celebrating Christ's birth.

Christmas day we headed to Pittsburgh to celebrate the holiday and Riley with all the Jones family. He got to take a nap with Grammy Sandy, spend time with his uncle Andy and get some good snuggle time in with Grandpa Kevin as well as meet the rest of the fam.

Week 3

I took Riley in for his three week check up and he weighed an astounding 5 pounds 15 ounces. He had gained 10 ounces in a week. The doctor couldn't believe it but I could because my parents had been here all week spoiling him rotten. Soon we will have a six pounder. :-)

Having my parents here this past week was wonderful. I have tons of pictures of Riley with Grandma and Grandpa Henry but they are on my laptop and that just got sent into Best Buy as it is about to crash. So just imagine two smitten grandparents fighting over who gets to feed, burp, pamper, change, kiss and hug him.

Please keep him in your prayers as he is still not keeping all his food down the best but he is definately improving and we praise God for that!

More to come later as right now I need to tend to my fussy son. :-)
