Griff surprised me with the greatest birthday gift ever this past week with a trip to Colorado. It meant so much to me to take him and Riley back to Colorado. I grew so much in the short year that I lived there and so many of my dear friends now live out that direction it was like going home. Here are a few pictures from our trip. There will be more to come later.
Thursday we took off from Philadelphia bound for Colorado. Once we landed in Denver we drove up to Boulder to see the Hanneman's and the Frazer's. It was so fun for our kids to play together. After that we drove down to Colorado Springs to stay with Paul and Phyllis Stanley.
Friday we got to see my best friend from Iowa, Dawn and her family. We all hung out a cute coffee shop and Riley and Elijah got to meet and play.
Friday night we celebrated my birthday with the Stanley's the family I use to live with when I lived in Colorado. It was wonderful to be back in their home and sharing Griff and Riley with them.
Saturday I got to meet my great friend Jamie for breakfast and then have lunch with Jim and Beth Luebe. That evening was the biggest surprise of my life when Griff took me out to dinner at PF Chang's along with Riley and as I sat at the table my parents walked in!!!! What in the world. I burst into tears as I couldn't believe my Mom and Dad would fly all the way out to Colorado Springs to celebrate with me! Thank you Griff for planning such an amazing birthday.
Sunday night Griff treated me to dinner at the Broadmore while my parents watched Riley. That night we got to stay at the castle at Glen Eyrie.
Monday we all took a tour around the Air Force Academy and enjoyed the sunshine. It was a beautiful day. Later we met up with Aggie and Jeff for dinner at Old Chicago. What a wonderfl way to end a great trip.
More pictures will be coming but this is a start.

A Morning in the Life
This was the "outfit" Riley was walking around the house in this morning. He found the crocs in the hall closet and brought them to me to put them on. So, walking around with his doggy pj's, a jacket, crocs and a little Christmas book he had quite a good morning.
This is just a typical lunch time with Riley...after we are done eating of course. I enjoy the meals when he is happy and cheerful, because that isn't always the case. Last night's dinner was a complete meltdown and Griff and I have no idea why. I fed him the same leftovers today for lunch and he loved them.
