A Beach Vacation in Pictures

We just got back from the beach and had a wonderful week. We went with the Forney's to Fenwick Island. We rented a home right on the beach. Riley didn't like the ocean too much the first day. I wish I had video of the sad sad sounds that came from him. There was just a low moan from the moment we got on the beach till the moment I took him back to the house. But by weeks end he was adjusting. We took his little kiddie pool to the beach one day and let him play in that. But we have realized that a sandy beach is not a good place for a curious crawler who likes to suck his thumb. Just picture it if you can. But, all in all we had fun on our first family vacation and Riley is still smiling ear to ear.

8 months and more

This picture is from 6 months when he had his first spoonful of real food. I had made peas. He hesitantly took some and then within seconds threw it back up and into Griff's hand. :-) What a great memory. He now loves just about anything, though he definitely would take fruit over veggies any day. At just past 8 months we weighs right around 17 pounds. He started crawling at 7 1/2 months and just two days later started pulling himself up to everything. It is hard trying to baby proof a house when you are in the midst of packing up a home and moving. But, we are getting by. So far he has only had one little black eye from all his new climbing, standing, and crawling experiences. I would say we are doing pretty well.


Oh, boy, we are in trouble now.


Daddy got tools for his birthday and Riley was pretty excited about them...or at least the box.
